Destrucktion at Home-II

Image
We contnue to work on the house. We should be doing some installation soon. Mostly the kitchen area will be where the work is done. Need to get some of that done before other areas can be started. Need to establish where boundaries will be. Been an interesting propect to still be able to use most of a kitchen as an idea, and still remove it. Things should work better after this too. Cleaned up some weirdness with plumbing, and wiring. Hopefully we will clear up some additional anomalies. Although pulling a bunch of new wire isn't really an option.

Destruction at Home

We're doing some remodeling, my brother-in-law is a contractor. We're getting a new kitchen, and wood flooring through most of the house. It started just a couple days ago. We'll see how much this disrupts the goings on at the house. I think I'll be sleeping elsewhere. Going to be a bit too noisy around here to sleep during the day. I've tried a bit with my earplugs in. You can still hear the hammering and such. Although it didn't take me long to get to sleep. This is a picture of the wood flooring that is to be installed.

"Man of Steel"

I just watched the new Superman movie. I have to say there seemed to be quite a bit of gratuitous destruction. Granted the graphics were pretty amazing, and yet, I thought how much of this really is lending to the story? More action, less dialogue must be the by words for this film. Although the new Superman, Henry Cavill, is quite the specimen of the human male. Put him beside Thor, and have a flex off.

I watched this, and a tear came to my eye. What a special love they had for one another.

More Series I'm Following

I've been watching a couple of other series besides "Californication", if for no other reason than to give my libido a break. Started watching a little bit of the new series of Battlestar Galactica, i watched the old one(1978) ages ago. I have also just watched a few episodes of "Alphas", which seems quite interesting. I'll see if it holds me or not. Either way, something new to occupy my time, and peak my interests. Keeps me from having to do yard work, or anything else that require me leaving the house.

Californication

I've recently been watching Californication online. The only way I can watch it, and catch up on all that I missed. I don't have Showtime. I was watching and had a moment of Satori, that what we have here is a Soap Opera, with quite a bit of gratuitous nudity. Not all scenes require it, but many scenes will have it. Not that I'm complaining, there have been numerous lovely young ladies exposing various parts of their anatomy. I figure when I'm too old to appreciate the female form, then perhaps it's time for me to be put down. I've mentioned to my family that if I'm not looking they should check for a pulse. Not sure where I'm going with this, other than I have been enjoying the story, and of course the nudity. Otherwise I just don't think the nudity would have carried me to the point where I'm about to enter in to season 4. I'm not one to beat myself up for a little nudity. There is tons of it available on the internet. Sadly, I find mys...

Back from Germany

Daughter is back from Germany. Has tons of pictures from her time there. She'll only be home for a few weeks, and then probably off to Marching Camp for the University marching band.

Daughter In Germany

Well, the baby gurl is in Germany for Spring Term. This a language immersion thing. She is taking german in school, and then this opportunity to go to Germany arose. She is at the Universität Tübingen. I can only imagine that this will be a great experience for her. Evidently they get to go to the Mercedes- Benz museum in Stuttgart. That would be something I would enjoy. She's going to be there until late in July. I'm guessing skype and other things will play into staying in contact.

Obama and Guns and skeet

I have to laugh at the comic Mallard Fillmore. It keeps making fun of President Obama, and his professing that he is a fan of skeet shooting. This fandom seems to have only recently arisen as he begins his task of trying to take various type of guns away from the American citizenry. I think he is trying make the gun owners, and the N.R.A. think that he understands their feelings. If he owns a shotgun for skeet shooting, it's probably brand new, and hasn't run a box of shells through it. It is sad, the killing of children, and the use of guns in this task. Children should have no fear of going to school, or going anywhere for that matter. Childhood should be free of fear, and full of wonder. I'm not sure of the best way of keeping the maniacs off the streets and unarmed. I don't think trying to take various type of guns away from the american people is the answer. I'm reminded.. "Guns don't kill people, pencils don't misspell, and spoons don't make p...

My Daughter is a Freshman

I was hoping to retire at a reasonable time in my life. Having children late in my life has not helped me to accomplish that. While my daughter is at school, I can only imagine I'm on hold. Hopefully student loans won't become my problem.
