My Daughter is a Freshman

I was hoping to retire at a reasonable time in my life. Having children late in my life has not helped me to accomplish that. While my daughter is at school, I can only imagine I'm on hold. Hopefully student loans won't become my problem.

My Kid is Driving Me Crazy

Well...I just took a look at my kids grades on line. Not looking good. I thought he was happy with band. But that is a D... and I don't know if it can be pulled out. Then of course, it seems he is flunking advisory. Damn, I didn't even know they graded that. With only a few weeks left in school, it isn't looking good. He'll pass of course. He's got an A going in Math. And then some C's, but geez I wish his care factor was higher.

WTF

I'm reasonably certain I had a small stroke today.  I woke up, and certain areas of my face would not respond.  After a few hours it was improving some.. even now still some effect.  I spoke, and the wife immediately detected my articulation difficulty. 12 hours of speech in college. It's around 8pm ,  I recently turned 70, I hope that isn't an expiration date. Still some difficulty, navigating my lips around glasses and drinking cups.

New Series That I’ve Seen

  I’m liking Manhattan , the story of the development of the Atomic Bomb. This is out in the middle of nowhere in the desert. In a town created and controlled by the military. I’m liking Outlander, a lady gets sucked back two hundred years in Scotland after touching a druid stone. I’m liking Gotham , early Gotham City, Bruce Wayne aka Batman has just lost his parents. I’m liking Scorpion, a group of geniuses help to solve some interesting problems. Watched the first episode of Bad Judge, this has the potential for being very entertaining. Too soon to get all excited. Watched the first episode of Selfie, this also has the potential for entertaining and amusing. I’m watching The Mysteries of Laura, critics are not impressed or they weren’t with the first episode. I’m not sure. I think this can work. A divorced mom with twins that gets her called to school too often is also a police detective. The husband is also with the police department.
