Well...I just took a look at my kids grades on line. Not looking good. I thought he was happy with band. But that is a D... and I don't know if it can be pulled out. Then of course, it seems he is flunking advisory. Damn, I didn't even know they graded that. With only a few weeks left in school, it isn't looking good. He'll pass of course. He's got an A going in Math. And then some C's, but geez I wish his care factor was higher.
This and the proper driver can connect your computer if you have a usb port. There are both windows and linux drivers available. Linux drivers may be aimed at debian exclusively. This is LUbuntu 12.04 on a P4 with a Gig of Ram. If I shutdown I have an alias i use to restart the wifi driver. I should just add it to startup. But I don't shut it down that often. Until some update wants a reboot. It's connected to IRC for me. I thought getting the alias working was an ok upgrade. Some devices I found were windows only. No mention of Linux. I knew better than go there. I also wasn't looking to spend a lot of money to keep my old desktop connected to the InterWeb. This was under $20 and some of my time to figure out the driver. Well, I went to the ER Quick and painless...except for removing the stickies from monitor pads. Bell's Palsy is the diagnosis. A facial nerve acting up. Some small steroid treatment, may or may not help. Take some pills for a few days. It should not happen again. I certainly hope not.
