Packy's Place

Today I think I've reached some kind of pinnacle. I had some things to do, so I put my old work coveralls on .. over my pajamas. These coveralls are every bit as comfortable as a 'Leisure Suit'. They also don't look like one. So, I was comfy all day long with my maintenance and my chores.  When I went to the store for munchies, I looked like the mechanic from the station (jammies underneath). Wilma and Betty are looking good. This is the first time either Uj or I have grown this type of plant. Caring for them is just one of the chores. The end of the day... I took my coveralls back off. I was still in my jammies, save for the boots. It doesn't get more efficient than that.

It's almost Halloween. It took on additional meaning for me when i retired on Halloween 2016. I was thinking of costuming, and what would be fun.  Then a friend showed me his. That is so cool. He lives in the 'Big City' so he has access to people.  This is the result of that i'm thinking. No way i can come anywhere  near something that cool. The wife would have to be in that kind of mood. She is a among so many things, a seamstress / Tailor .. she made me a suit and vest to marry me  :)  , and her own dress too. Where are those pictures?  mebbe in the slides. I've Got the Hat. .  I've had the hat for a long time. Bought it at Trotter's in La Grande, or at least they ordered it for me. They carried Stetson, and i have one of those too.

I would think Tiger would be less cocky too. He didn't grow up with the spoon, he had to earn it, so it is not taken for granted. Hopefully his recent fall from grace will help to keep him humble. I like his smile. He makes me want to like him.

The movie with a totally crap rating missed a key point. Not only did the people of Earth destroy the Psychlos, but they also had the secret to the psychlo teleportation technology. That key ingredient was going to help them to rebuild the earth. So all the other people's in the universe were now beholden to the Earth because of the destruction of the Psycholo home world. They also were willing to pay for use of the transporter technology. This allowed transmission of goods and people over great distances in just moments. The Earth now controlled that industry.

I just watched the shape of water not that long ago.   It was an interesting take on "The Creature from the Black Lagoon". This time the creature gets the girl, and in a nice way. Who knew? The creature has some special skills that make this work out.
