Graduation Day

Today my daughter graduated from High School. Would have been better had I not worked the night before. It made staying up for graduation a little tough. Although sitting on a bleacher in the gym for a couple hours wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Those get hard on your buns after a little while. I got a little teary eyed when the National Anthem was sung. I also got a little teary eyed when they called the baby girls name. I guess I'm just a big ol' softy. Now she's planning on going off to college. Which means we'll looking after those two big bone-headed dogs of hers. She has to be in the Dorm as a freshman, so no dogs. I'm pretty sure she wasn't planning on taking them anyway. Too bad I'm not a fan of the dogs.

Saturday Night Live

Is it just me, or is Saturday Night LIve , SNL, just not as funny as it used to be? I watched Saturday's show because Mick Jagger was on. Thought I'd see what that old man was up to. He's not that much older than me, and he keeps on rocking. Anyway, if it weren't for the Music segments saving the show, I would have turned it off. The only 'funny' skit was Mick was supposed to be at a business conference (not as himself) and there was Karaoke. All of the songs were Mick's and the folks were sitting there commenting on how really  great these folks doing the Karaoke sounded like Mick Jagger. He of course was unconvinced. This skit put a smile on my face, and I think elicited a chuckle. The others seemed to fall a little short. I have watched SNL off and on since its inception. Mebbe this was just an off night. But the likely hood of bringing me back is slim, unless there is another guest host that draws me to the show again.
