 Donald Trump took the same oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States that I did when I joined the Military. Clearly he didn't understand what that meant, but over time it has become clear that there is much that Donald Trump doesn't understand.  It would seem we would have been better off leaving the game show host in place. He was clearly functioning at maximum capacity at that point in time.

Diesel snow shovel  The first of the year has looked a bunch like winter. This is me with the diesel powered snow shovel. We've gotten quit a few inches over the last few days.  The wife likes to run the tractor so she's been keeping all of our driveway clear. Not an easy task, and a huge pain without the diesel shovel.  Road closures and snow drifts. Even local snow crews are having trouble keeping up. Although, for all I know, they are running short handed just like Wendy's.  Here's hoping 2022 is a little more 'user friendly'.

 It's almost the end of the year, another new variant... i'm not sure I've kept track of the names.. The most recent is Omicron, and i remember a Delta, and perhaps lambda.  This variant, Omicron, transmits more easily and quickly. It is said the symptoms are not as severe as previous variants. I have not gotten my booster shot, but I have gotten the two previous vaccinations. Things to do. May the goddess bless us in this upcoming year. We could use some good luck. Since it looks like we have accelerated the thawing of the polar ice caps. It's only a matter of time before the Zombie Apocalypse is real thing. 

Well, I went to the ER Quick and painless...except for removing the stickies from monitor pads. Bell's Palsy is the diagnosis. A facial nerve acting up. Some small steroid treatment, may or may not help. Take some pills for a few days.  It should not happen again.  I certainly hope not.

I'm reasonably certain I had a small stroke today.  I woke up, and certain areas of my face would not respond.  After a few hours it was improving some.. even now still some effect.  I spoke, and the wife immediately detected my articulation difficulty. 12 hours of speech in college. It's around 8pm ,  I recently turned 70, I hope that isn't an expiration date. Still some difficulty, navigating my lips around glasses and drinking cups.

I recently re-watched the movie "Avatar". This time, since I was aware, I was more in tune with the Navi and their Spirituality. That first moment that Ewa reached out. When the tiny floating 'pure soul' touched Natiri's arrow, as she was preparing to shoot Jake in his Navi body. Again, when the multitude of the 'pure souls' land on Jake, when he is in Home Tree with Natiri and she is teaching him about her people. I found much of the contact with Ewa very moving. It became a completely different movie for me, than the first time I watched it. I wasn't prepared for this revelation, it just happened. I think it made the movie more enjoyable to me. I was more in tune. I now anticipate the release of its sequel even more so.
